Ok, now, I guess I won’t go any further in this book. I’m a bit fed up of this kind of book where the author plays with suspens: on a 1000 pages novel, I get to page 150 and still haven’t met the hero…

In France this book is published in a crime collection. I guess this only means the subject and the way it is treated requires an adult edition.The childhood and teenage of Christ is told by his best pal Biff. I have scarcely met in literature such a comic character. He has almost no sens of social conventions.

And through this story of sand, traveling on camels, horses and feet, we discover the life of jews under the romanian domination.

Very exciting book, as long as you can deal with vulgarity :)

Merci à Thierry pour ce livre sur les premiers jazzmen et bluesmen dont on possède des enregistrements. Ce livre, superbement illustré par Crumb, retrace en quelque lignes la vie de ces hommes, ou du moins ce que l’on en sait. Parfois, les éléments qui nous sont parvenus sont parcellaires au plus haut point, et ne subsiste qu’un seul enregistrement. Emouvant donc, et accompagné d’un cd avec ces souvenirs audios qui ont parfois presqu’un siècle.
